Tetra Tech EM Inc. has a position open that can be filled in any of our California offices (Sacramento, San Diego, or San Francisco).  We are seeking a Senior Environmental Human Health Risk Assessor to lead toxicology and human health risk assessment practice in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and other states, primarily supporting the US Navy Environmental Restoration Program.  Candidate will provide leadership and mentoring to consulting teams, guide interpretation of environmental data and probabilistic analyses, and provide technical expertise and guidance in data presentation and reporting.   Communicate advances in technical approach and regulatory policy to work teams.  Maintain a presence with major clients and highlight company-wide capabilities and expertise.   Develop staff to manage an expanding workload and grow the practice.       
 
Experience Requirements: minimum of 15 years work experience in human health risk assessment with a masters degree in Toxicology or related science field.  Ph.D. preferred.  Candidates will have educational or work experience in environmental statistics, environmental fate and transport modeling, risk communication and litigation support, and regulatory approach and policy related to human health risk assessment.  Direct experience with the Navy Environmental Restoration Program, Base Realignment and Closure Program, Munitions Response Program, and California Department of Toxic Substances Control HHRA approach and policy is strongly preferred.           
 
Skills Requirements: must have demonstrated knowledge of US Navy risk assessment methodologies and policies and understanding of federal environmental regulations.  Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal), with direct experience in presenting complex technical information to diverse audiences.  Must have demonstrated successful team development and business development experience.  

Education Requirements: MS/Ph.D. in Toxicology or related science degree required.

Marketing Manager to lead our San Francisco Bay Area regional marketing efforts. We are looking for a dynamic, creative, strategic thinker to organize and manage our marketing operations across multiple practice areas and 3 Bay Area offices. This position requires working as part of the Senior Management team to develop, implement, and monitor business plans for our practice areas, managing marketing coordinators and allocating marketing resources, and ensuring that ESA’s efforts to win new work meets our standard for excellence and integrity in our work products. This position reports to the San Francisco Bay Area Regional Director and is available in our San Francisco, Oakland or Petaluma office.

This position requires excellent writing and communication skills for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences, effective and efficient problem-solving skills, in-depth understanding of the proposal preparation process, strong organization skills, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across all levels of management. Prior management skills and understanding of environmental regulatory process a plus. Knowledge and experience with databases including Filemaker Pro and Deltek Vision preferred. BA/MA in Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field. CPSM preferred.
